Sharks in danger
This article explain us about why people kill sharks. Well, humans may fear sharks, but sharks also have every reasons to fear humans. People kill them for sports, food, or sometimes just by mistakes. Although sharks rarely attack people, they are thought of as dangerous. Catching them is a tough challenge for hunters, who often keep shark jaws as souvenirs or sell them to tourists. Soup made from shark fins is a popular dish in some parts of the world. When sharks are caught, fishermen cruelly cut off their fins and throw the sharks back into the sea, and without their fins, sharks are unable to swim. Huge nets laid to catch fish like tuna kill millions of sharks each year as well. Safety nets are placed close to beaches to protect people from dangerous sharks. Unfortunately, these nets trap and kill many harmless sharks too. Every year, as many as 100 million sharks are killed. Some types of sharks are in danger of completely dying out. For example, over five million blue sharks are caught each year, and so their numbers have fallen sharply.
